Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager Accounts & Taxation to support our procurement and financial accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in taxation coupled with knowledge of procurement process, managing financial records, vendor accounts, inventory tracking (Preferably within the construction sector).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate vendor and supplier ledgers for various construction sites.
  • Monitor and update inventory records, including stock availability at sites and keep track of materials ordered, delivered, and pending at each site.
  • Perform timely and accurate data entry of procurement transactions into the ERP system.
  • Assist in preparing and filing monthly and annual tax returns.
  • Compiling and providing relevant accounting data and documentation to tax consultant.
  • Working closely with tax consultant in responding to tax notices and queries by preparing required financial information.
  • Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Education:

Masters in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and tax handling.

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Strong and up-to-date knowledge of Pakistan’s tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in handling purchase orders, accounts receivable/payable and ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with procurement workflows and vendor relationship management.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and accounting software etc.
  • Working knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
