We are seeking a highly motivated Truck Load Dispatcher with proven expertise in freight brokerage operations. This role requires experience in using load boards such as DAT and managing freight shipments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient logistics coordination, maintaining strong relationships with carriers and clients, and ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Freight Coordination: Coordinate and manage truckload shipments from pickup to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient transportation.
• Carrier Negotiation: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiating competitive rates to provide cost-effective solutions for clients.
• Shipment Tracking: Monitor shipment status, track progress, and proactively resolve any delays or issues to ensure on-time delivery.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the shipping process.
• TMS Proficiency: Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and load boards like DAT to manage, schedule, and track shipments.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of freight transactions, including contracts, bills of lading, and invoices.
• Industry Awareness: Stay up to date on market trends, regulatory requirements, and industry developments to provide informed advice to clients.
• Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (sales, operations) to align on client needs and achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in freight brokerage or truckload dispatching.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with load boards (DAT) and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Communication: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly resolve logistics challenges and provide solutions under pressure.
• Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the logistics industry, particularly truckload transportation and brokerage services.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is a plus (not mandatory).
