The successful candidate must be capable to perform following duties:
1. Prepare high level electrical designs for Renewable Energy (primarily Solar Energy) projects;
2. Prepare technical drawings (AutoCAD) as per specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements;
3. Plan layout of solar power generating plants, transmission, and distribution lines for residential, commercial and industrial sectors;
4. Prepare specification of power cables along with safety equipments & accessories required for electrification of residential, commercial, and industrial sectors;
5. Collect and analyze data through field surveys and study maps, graphs, diagrams to identify the requirement of electrical energy and design the solar power solution as per customer requirements;
6. Compile data and write reports regarding engineering studies and solar projects;
7. Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment - estimates labor, material, construction, and equipment costs;
8. Prepare project proposals as per approved engineering design of renewable energy projects,
9. Correspond with local & international vendors/partners for selection of products / equipments as per project requirements.
10. Coordinate renewable energy projects with project implementation team throughout Pakistan.
11. Participate national/international conference, trainings and meetings to represent EBR Energy.
Skills Required:
The successful candidate must possess following qualification and skills:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical (power) engineering / Renewable Energy Systems, Master in Electrical (power) engineering / Renewable Energy Systems would be a plus;
2. Three (03) year’s professional experience in designing solar energy projects / power projects;
3. Expertise in understanding the engineering drawings to prepare and study technical data, specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and meet customer requirements;
4. Expertise in preparing the electrical design in AutoCAD - Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks;
5. Expertise in design techniques, tools, software and principle involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings and models;
6. Good knowledge of power cables, safety & protection equipments necessarily required for electrification of residential, commercial and industrial sectors;
7. Experience in field surveys and can study maps, graphs, diagrams to identify the requirement of electrical energy and design the power system as per customer requirements;
8. Experience in planning layout of electric power generating plants, transmission and distribution lines for residential, commercial and industrial sectors;
9. Expertise in compiling data and writing reports regarding engineering studies and solar projects;
10. Excellent communication skills.
11. Must be a good team player to supervise and train junior engineering team.
