The Division
Primoris Services is the leading back-office services provider for the Insurance industry, covering payment processing, print fulfillment and data hosting services. As part of the Volaris operating group’s Financial Services vertical, Primoris is a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc.
The Position
We are looking for an experienced and capable Scala Developer. Candidates with exposure to a functional programming language (Clojure, Haskell, Lisp, Python, Erlang, Elixir, D, R, SequenceL, Tcl) are also encouraged to apply.
The selected software developer will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore office, working from the resource-center, in collaboration with and as an extension of the division-based R&D department.
Skills & Expertise Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- 5-10 Years’ Professional Work Experience in Software Development.
- At least 3 years of working experience with the Scala Play Framework
- Strong working experience with Database Framework: Slick
- Professional working experience with testing frameworks: ScalaTest, Play Specs2 & Gatling
- Experience with SCoverage, TDD fundamentals, Postgres, Mysql administration
- Java, Linux, Cloud, CI/CD & DevOps exposure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as contribute in a team environment.
