Job Description:
· To work in shift duty (morning / evening / night) and supervise the Transport Network in real time as well as through periodic reporting.
· To coordinate with field staff of L-1 teams or outsourced vendors and work with them for issue rectification.
· To escalate the issues to technical management in a timely manner in compliance with escalation matrix and pursue this escalation till the time issue is resolved.
· To convey the outages (planned and unplanned) to CS colleagues and keep them posted with the updates on major network issues.
· To conduct system routine health checks and ensures any abnormalities are communicated to concerned departments for permanent fix.
· To forward the unresolved issues to relevant level-2 teams of respective domains and follow up with them till the issue is fixed.
· To log the important events and keep updating the trouble tickets and alarms with required contents like reasons, history etc., where this information is to be used later for outage review meeting.
· To ensure in coordination with other departments that required SLA are met in service assurance areas and customers are served with the best network quality.
· To prepare the shift handover report for particular team and submit for consolidated shift report.
· To highlight the network visibility issues and works in coordination with vendor and level-2 teams to make sure maximum network visibility.
· To do prioritized alarm reporting for certain events as per information and requirement coming from operations team.
· To coordinate and feedback provision to internal/external customers.
Essential Skills:
· Hands-on experience of Huawei U2000 NMS, EMC Ionix, Huawei IP-U2000, NEC PNMSj, Ericsson SoEM/IPTNMS (Circuit/Packet).
