| Job Description: |
| Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Administer and provide support for a large multiple datacenter CENTOS/RHEL platform
- Adhere to stringent security and change/configuration management procedures and policies
- Follow engineering discipline to develop new tools and automation for dinCloud Operations in concert with other teams
- Enhance platform automation, documentation, and system performance
- Properly estimate work efforts and technical challenges
- Effectively communicate updates on projects and tasks to the team
- Research and investigate application and OS problems, propose multiple options, and implement solutions
- remote support for customer issues
- Support very complex KVM cluster and CEPH storage systems
- Support linux servers and applications
Experience:
- 6-8 years of experience with supporting CENTOS/RHEL in a large production environment
- Experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools, installation, configuration, problem determination, and system recovery
- Scripting with Python or Ruby or shell
- Datacenter monitoring experience (zabbix/Nagios etc)
- Storage Management tools
- Storage performance tools
- Performance benchmarking tools
- Experience providing 24x7 support
- Chef/Puppet deployment
- Experience with server and storage hardware
- Enterprise Storage management
- Experience with KVM virtualization
- Experience with compiling kernel
- Kernel tuning
- Experience deploying and supporting LAMP (Linux, Apache, MYSQL, Php/Phyton) stack
- HA deployment for KVM and MYSQL
- Experience working on networking tools iperf, wireshark, tcpdump etc
- Linux firewall configuration with iptables, vyatta
