Job Description: |
Job Objective:
Planning and execution of EHS activities, coordinating with external parties, ensuring timelines are met and project implementation is according to local and international EHS laws and requirements.
Major Accountabilities:
- Plan and execute all EHS development and implementation related activities, participating in negotiations and finalizing E&S agreements and documents
- Conduct resource & financial planning, budgeting, reviewing, reporting, and ensuring error-free implementation of EHS activities
- Facilitate timely satisfaction of Condition Precedents (CP's) related to Environment, Health, Safety & Social matters, as well as Regulatory Authority requirements while ensuring project compliance with international and local standards
- Oversee and evaluate group EHS practices, instructing and monitoring subordinates, ensuring job enrichment & holistic knowledge of departmental functions
- Ensure implementation of standardized EHS training plans, ensuring a high level of quality
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of sites, determining implementation levels of EHS management systems and CSR activities
- Oversee and analyze daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports such as Job Safety Analysis (JSA), bird monitoring and mortality reports
- Design and present EHS reports, liaising with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance and accurate data collection
- Coordinate and liaise with internal departments and advisors on project EHS-related matters
- Advise site teams on all EHS-related matters, participating in regular meetings with contractors and stakeholders
- Assign and monitor EHS team KPI(s), managing team performance and providing them guidelines.
- Develop a relationship with market players and stakeholders on project-related matters, liaising with them to meet CP's.
- Highlight new opportunities in relevant sectors & markets, preparing new proposals and feasibility reports for CSR activities in coordination with regulatory bodies.
